Psychological Warfare Worked - We Must Learn How to Combat It to Reclaim our Future

Nothing democratic happened Thursday.  Lies, injustice, power and murderous wealth violently manipulated the public.

Democracy requires that we are told the truth, that the decision we make is based on clear and accurate information from both sides.  Our rights were taken away.

Propaganda won.  Many people I spoke to were robotic, repeating media lines over and over, the truth was impossible for them to navigate.  That was the point, to disinform, to prevent people knowing what was true and what was not.  The narrative was controlled at every level.  And terrifyingly it was extraordinarily successful.  Psychological warfare works and we have to learn how to combat it effectively if we are to save our humanity.  As the left wing media are targeted and the far right emboldened it will become more difficult than ever for the general public to know what is real.  This is the toxicity we have to wade through now.

The injustice we feel is real because of this.  Our future was stolen not freely chosen.  Most people did not knowingly chose to vote against their own needs.  We have a consciously vile emboldened far right for sure and that must always be acknowledged and treated seriously, but most people who voted for them were not aware of how dangerous things had become, they care about kids going hungry and people sleeping on the streets.

Democratic impartial truth would have seen a decent government installed in number 10.  The money pumped into propaganda prevented it.  The general public largely are not to blame for what is about to occur, but sadly they must experience the consequences of their actions, along with all of us who fought it.  Hopefully those consequences wake people and inoculate them from the propaganda sooner rather than later.
